At present, the tallest and largest buildings in the world are all made of steel structure, such as the Empire State Building in New York, the Sears Tower in Chicago, and the Petro Towers in Malaysia. Previous Olympic venues also used steel structure. Multifunctional steel structure buildings in some countries show the characteristics of wide use and large amount of steel, which is widely used in high-rise, super high-rise, large span and large space buildings, industrial, commercial, community, culture, education and health buildings, as well as most of the low-rise non-residential buildings.
